Policies, Cards & Accounts

Library Cards & Accounts:

Community Patrons: Adults are welcome to sign up for a library card. This card will be filled out in person during regular LMC hours and allows full access to library materials, facilities and digital services. Proof of your current address in the Lawson School District is required. Address can be verified with current ID, utility bill, property lease, postmarked letter addressed to you. Your card will be kept at the circulation desk for convenience.

Middle School and High School students: Our students do not need to a library card while still enrolled in 5-12 grade. Their student ID is used for book check out and their assigned user name and student created password are used for computer log in. Students are welcomed during regular LMC hours and also have full access to library materials, facilities and digital services. We do not check out books to our Lawson elementary students, as they have a library at Southwest Elementary for their use. We can, however, check out books to their parents living in the Lawson school district during the summer months. We know summer reading is important!
