College Chemistry
The High School College Chemistry course allows students who meet the college requirements to enroll in the class and earn High School credit as well as 5 hours of College credit. The course is offered through Missouri Western State University and the credit can be transferred to most colleges and universities if desired. The course has a strong laboratory component and students have the opportunity to travel the the MWSU campus twice to perform laboratory investigations with advanced instrumentation that are beyond the scope of a high school laboratory. To qualify students must meet certain ACT scores and there is a cost per college hour to be paid by the student. Both lecture and laboratory syllabi are available for viewing to show the scope and sequence of the course.
