Mrs. Borden has her Education Specialist and Masters degree in School Counseling. She serves as School counselor while also being the School Librarian. At Mt Hope, (as they say), we wear many hats. As an elementary teacher she enjoyed teaching Kindergarten, first and second grade classes. She realizes how many ups and downs the students bring to school with them. She didn't realize the other responsibilities that counselors are required to do besides listen and teach classes.
She loves time with her family. She is married to her middle school sweetheart. She has two daughters, a son-in-law and twin grandchildren. She has a Doberman fur baby and 2 outside dogs, named Lynn Anderson and Bingo. She loves horses . She has an Appaloosa named Eclipse. She has a Tennessee Walking Paint horse named Cheyenne. Along with two miniature ponies, Oreo and Shrek. She likes to ride her horses and work in her yard.
School Counseling classes are scheduled monthly or as possible and good character is usually taught during library time. PATH curriculum is used in the classroom.
