Tree of Life partnered with the Santa Ana Church of the Brethren (Iglesia Principe de Paz) for a university day where children and youth from the Santa Ana community could have a university campus experience. The day included a campus tour of both the California State University Fullerton and the University of La Verne. The young scholars were also able to enjoy a meal in the dining hall at the ULV campus where they sat down for conversations with first generation students.

Tree of Life hosted the 2017 Mentoring Conference at the University of La Verne. The conference presented workshops on the power of critical mentoring, diversity and inclusivity, working with parents, social emotional development, and self-care.
