How Do I Complete College Applications? 

How do I complete my college application(s)?

3 Options: 

1. Create an account through "APPLY TEXAS", OR

Apply Texas accounts allow you to apply to multiple colleges or universities within the State of Texas. Some private universities (i.e. TCU, SMU, etc.) may have different processes. Research each college or university for their application process criteria. 

2. Create an account through "COMMON APPLICATION"   

Common Application is used mainly for private universities or any college or university in another state besides Texas. 

3. Apply directly through the college or university. 

The admission process is clearly stated on each university's website.  

What if the Essay is Optional? Do I write one? 

• YES! While some essays may not be required, you are strongly encouraged to complete the essay for admissions and scholarship purposes. 

What if I do not have a Social Security Number (SS#)?

• You can complete your admissions application without this information, and 

• Students are encouraged to search for additional information about special programs for undocumented or immigrant students.
