Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
Their Eyes Were Watching God was written in 1937 by Zora Neale Hurston, an amazing African American writer. It explores the themes of love and selfhood as a young woman comes into her own. 238 pages long.
Jazz was written in 1992 by Toni Morrison an amazing African American writer. It explores the 1920's Harlem Renaissance. 229 pages long.
Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Mbue
Behold the Dreamers was written in 2017 by Imbolo Mbue a Cambodian- American writer. It explores an immigrant family trying to make sense of the "American Dream." 400 pages long.
