Many programs might require supplemental documents. Pay close attention to what the application is requesting and do your research well in advance of the deadline as some requirements take time to request from school staff.
Below you will find some common requirements and see who on campus can help you get the documents you need.
A letter of recommendation: Remember to give your recommenders at least 2 weeks notice when asking for a letter of recommendation. Give them a brag sheet and/or resume so they can write a personal letter that speaks to your strengths. Here is a template.
Transcripts: Some applications have GPA or course requirements. Your counselor (Ms. Delgado, Mr. Ramirez, or Mr. Walton) or Ms. Varty can print out official transcripts. Ms. Setiarto or the main office techs can print out unofficial transcripts. Please give staff at least 3-4 days notice when requesting transcripts.
Essay questions: Give yourself plenty of time to write a good response. See Ms. Setiarto for help revising/proofreading. Give any reviewer at least 1-2 weeks in advance to properly review your application. This ensures you have time to edit your work and for your reviewer to do one final proofread before you submit.
These applications have due dates coming up! To best increase your chance of acceptance, apply to these opportunities by the end of this month.

Remember, in order to earn community service hours you must volunteer (UNPAID) at a NON-PROFIT (ex. 403(c)) organization. Follow the instructions below to ensure your hours get approved.
Get a community service form from the office. Have the supervisor at the non-profit organization approve your volunteer work there on the MOU form. Make sure you know what your role is and what tasks you will be asked to do.
Once the supervisor signs your form, turn it into Ms. Donlucas in the main office for approval. She will check to see if the organization is indeed a non-profit or other suitable organization.
Make sure to record your hours as you complete them. Turn them in at the end of each semester (or as soon as you finish your service at that location).
Fill out the Community Service Report form with all relevant information, including supervisor information and signature.
Turn the whole packet in at the end of each semester (or as soon as you finish your service at that location). Do not wait to turn it in all at once.
Each different location requires a different form! Remember, if you are paid a stipend or hourly rate, this is not eligible for community service. For-profit businesses are not eligible for community service hours, even if you are volunteering.
Community Service Goals
By end of 9th grade year: at least 25 hours total
By end of 10th grade year: at least 50 hours total
By end of 11th grade year: at least 75 hours total
Have all 100 hours completed by mid-May of your graduation year.
