The vision of San Pedro High School’s Visual and Performing Arts Magnet (VAPA) is to provide a safe, supportive, and arts-integrated learning environment that encourages all students who have a passionate interest in the arts to realize their full potential and become responsible, productive, and creative citizens in a competitive, diverse, and changing world.

In Los Angeles, 1 out of every 6 jobs is in the arts (Los Angeles Arts Council, 2018), and here at San Pedro High School our VAPA students will be prepared for the challenging roads to college, shining on the silver screen, breaking a leg on Broadway, or making beautiful music, but always making their own unique mark on this world.

San Pedro will create an environment that:
