Region North STEAM Fest brings students, families, educators, and community partners together for a day of hands-on learning and discovery. The festival celebrates the creativity, problem-solving, and innovation happening across our schools.
At the heart of STEAM Fest is STEM identity—helping students see themselves as scientists, engineers, technologists, mathematicians, and creative thinkers. When students share their ideas, build solutions, and explore real-world challenges, they begin to believe they belong in STEAM.
STEAM Fest 2026 is designed to more clearly reflect high-quality, standards-aligned STEAM learning. This year, participating schools have been asked to demonstrate connections to elements of the Next Generation Science Standards, such as the Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts, within their showcase activities.
This intentional alignment ensures that student booths, performances, and demonstrations reflect authentic scientific thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application — not just projects, but meaningful learning experiences.
These updates strengthen our shared commitment to building students’ STEM identity through rigorous and relevant learning.
