ABOUT STEAM fest 2026

A celebration of student curiosity, creativity, and STEM identity.

Where students discover they belong in STEAM.

Region North STEAM Fest brings students, families, educators, and community partners together for a day of hands-on learning and discovery. The festival celebrates the creativity, problem-solving, and innovation happening across our schools.

At the heart of STEAM Fest is STEM identity—helping students see themselves as scientists, engineers, technologists, mathematicians, and creative thinkers. When students share their ideas, build solutions, and explore real-world challenges, they begin to believe they belong in STEAM.

LAUSD Division of Instruction

Featured Experiences
The LAUSD Division of Instruction partners with Region North to support STEAM learning across the district and co-hosts STEAM Fest.

Through the Granada Hills Science Center, the Division of Instruction will also provide featured experiences at the event, including the Pinewood Derby Competition and an inflatable planetarium experience, giving students opportunities to explore engineering design and space science.

Impossible Science brings exciting science demonstrations and interactive experiences that make complex scientific ideas fun, surprising, and memorable for learners of all ages.

LAUSD iDream

Mobile STEAM Innovation Lab

The LAUSD iDream mobile lab delivers hands-on STEAM experiences through its traveling truck and trailer, allowing students to explore emerging technologies and creative problem solving.
