At Phoenix High School, our dedicated students and faculty came together to create a vibrant and meaningful mural that pays tribute to the incredible legacies of influential figures such as Ruben Salazar , Rosa Parks, Malala Yousafzai, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Dolores Huerta, Marsha P Johnson, Harvey Milk, Yuri Kochiyama, and Lucy Covington. This mural is a symbol of the struggles they fought for - breaking oppression and inspiring change. As a school that celebrates its diverse community, we wanted this mural to be something that students could look up to and feel proud of- a daily reminder that change is possible and that we carry the strength to make a difference. It is not just an art work; it is a reflection of our shared history and the struggles that unite us in our pursuit of a brighter future.
