Language Arts

This year we will be using Benchmark as our core curriculum along with novel studies and picture books. We will focus on writing and reading comprehension skills like sequencing, plot, making inferences, summarizing, character analysis and more . . .

Mathematics

We will be using Eureka and Zearn Mathematics as our core curricula in Grade 3. Our focus will be around four critical areas:

1. multiplication and division and strategies for multiplication and division within 100;

2. fractions, especially unit fractions (fractions with numerator 1);

3. the structure of rectangular arrays and of area;

4. describing and analyzing two-dimensional shapes.

Students will supplement their learning with ST Math and XtraMath.
