Caminos scholars examine the social, economic, and political transformations affecting the Hispanic/Latino community. Through lectures by university professors and expert leaders in their fields, scholars not only learn about pressing contemporary issues but also create their own project to bring change in their own communities.

Courses are held on campus, run for 7 weeks, and are fast paced and rigorous. Outside of the classroom students are part of our Barnard community and will explore New York City, participate in college readiness workshops and career exploration panels.
career readiness workshops focused on, but not limited to, understanding hospital operations and infrastructure, finance, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
All interns are then matched with one department within the hospital, where they will gain practical experience through a project-based internship with an administrative healthcare professional.
