LA Unified Micro-Credentialing Program Overview Site

During the 2018-2019 school year, Los Angeles Unified launched a first-of-its kind research- and competency-based Micro-Credentialing Program in order to provide educators across the District with sustained, collaborative, coherent, and targeted professional learning aligned to District needs.

For the 2020-2021 school year, the District plans to launch the third year of the STEAM Micro-Credential, the second year of the TK-12 English Learner Micro-Credential, and the inaugural year of the new Reading Specialist: Early Literacy Foundations and Dual Language Education Micro-Credentials.
