Amy Altamirano

This is my first year of girls building. I am excited about the fun and great activities that girls will bring this year. Some of the things that I enjoy doing are drawing, listening to music, and also sometimes playing the piano. I joined Girls Build was mostly because of Madeline. She would tell me what she would do at Girls Build and I thought it was cool. I am really glad that there's even a club about helping the ones in need because with it the small number of people who are trying to help would decrease a tiny bit but still. Am proud to be in Girls Build this year, and I hope to continue being in Girls Build for the following years.

Madeline Altamirano Munoz

I have been with Girls build since last year. I am currently 13. I had recently been doing lots in my spare time such as things like, writing poems, stories, drawing, playing piano, and listening to relaxing music/videos. Nonetheless, the reason why I have been with girls build is because I get a chance to help society, and those in need. I also get to inspire and encourage others to do the same. I hope that in the future it will all change, and many more will get the chance to change and build our future. Thank you.

Juliana Bengson

I’m a seventh grader at Holmes Middle School and I joined Girlsbuild to help the ongoing crisis in our city as homeless levels are getting higher and higher each year. I can bring good sportsmanship to the team, being a good team player, even after losing, and be a helpful and reliable partner in Girlsbild to watch it succeed.

Aria Cardello

I love drawing and helping people. We should help the homeless because especially in LA, lots of people don't know if they're going to get their next meal or where they will eat. And if our community isnt going to do anything about it then someone has to stand up and take action.

I can draw and make posters for our team. I also love making plans and giving out ideas. I hope I will be a good member of this team!

Makayla Chung

I am 12 years old and am in 7th grade. I like to travel, make/listen to music, read, and do robotics. When I grow up, I want to specialize in media or cybersecurity. I am a part of GirlsBuild because I want to help the homeless in my community so that everyone is fed everyday and has somewhere to stay. Last year, I was also a part of GirlsBuild, and also helped the homeless, so I have expirence in organizing drives for donations and managing our website.

Zoe Fenimore

My hobby is reading, and I enjoy watching TV. I want to help people by giving back to my community.

Ava Fong

I am twelve years old, and I enjoy sports. I currently play golf, tennis, and pickleball. When I grow up, I want to be a landscape designer because I like to plan and organize. Having this job would let me do this and take care of nature. Last year, the girls build group had a sock and canned food drive for the homeless. This year, I am continuing with my friends to help animal shelters.

Taelynn Hall

I am 14 and a second time Girls Build participant. I few causes I believe in and would like to work towards are women and children’s shelters, special needs kids, and animal welfare. Hobbies I enjoy doing are reading, playing video games, singing, and dancing. I also enjoy theatre and movies. I value education very much and I hope to be a Psychiatric Nurse someday. I plan to work hard this year to make a difference with my friends.

Emilia Mendez

I am 13 years old and in 8th grade. My hobbies are crochet, basketball, and listening to music. I joined girls build to have fun and to take part in a larger responsibility.

Zoe Osorio Garcia

I am a 13 year old 8th grader at Holmes MS, I love listening to music, making jewelry, talking with friends and reading. This cause is important to me because I have lived in LA my whole life and homelessness has always been a big problem, I want to help make a difference for my community and hopefully inspire people all over the world to do the same. I have a lot of ideas to help this cause, I can help plan, design, and put ideas into action. I take this problem seriously and hope to make it better with the help of my fellow peers.
