MS. ANTOINETTE PIPPIN
TEACHER LIBRARIAN AT GALA
Hello GALA students and community! It is truly a joy to be part of this inspiring endeavor to create a vibrant, supportive environment where young women can learn, grow, and thrive. GALA is a special place that is intentionally designed to meet the unique needs of young women while nurturing both their greatness and their identities.
As your teacher librarian, my role is to cultivate a space where young women can see themselves reflected, discover who they are becoming, and explore their interests through inquiry, literature, and meaningful connections within our school community and beyond. I believe deeply that informal learning spaces—like libraries, museums, and other self-directed learning environments—are powerful and transformative. They not only amplify voice and choice for young learners, but are essential to unlocking every young person’s full potential.
I enthusiastically invite you to come to the library; whether you’re stopping by to check out a book, explore a new idea, or just say hello. I love learning about what excites you, supporting your interests, and getting to know each of you, because I truly believe the library is your space. It belongs to the community, and it exists to support your curiosity, creativity, and growth.
