Continuing their 9-year-long partnership with LAUSD, Branded Arts is thrilled to bring a week of curated arts programming to Augustus F. Hawkins High School. Having facilitated over 700 mural projects in over 70 cities around the world, Branded Arts brings not only world-renowned muralists but an education component that empowers students to understand and pursue a career in the arts.
Branded Arts is an unparalleled opportunity for students to engage in every aspect of the arts process, from coming up with themes for the work, to painting, and gallery creation.
From May 12th to May 16th, Branded Arts brings artists including Cryptik, Lauren YS, and RABI, Andi Xoch, Anthony Pittman, Christian Garcia Perez Clover, Enkone, Gabby Claro, Janet Rodriguez, Joan “Zeta” Zamora, Juvia, Josh Everhorn, Love Yo Dreams, Mel Depaz, MEUZ, Ni Santas, and Sickid.
Complete with an arts symposium, the initiative opens students’ eyes to a world of possibilities within the creative industries, which are essential to Los Angeles. This edition will include collaborators including the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the Office of Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Versa Dance Company, Color Compton, Soapbox.us, Behr paint, Sony Pictures Animation, and Hijinx Arts for an equally involved exploration of the creative economy.
