Journeys of Transformation:
An Exploration of Travel and Transportation
Study Art, Music, Literature, Science, Social Science, Economics and how each subject relates to Travel.
The art curriculum will offer art pieces related to Finding Our Way; Global Currents; Traveling for Pleasure; and Transportation and Technology.
The music section will focus on Travel and Transportation in Music: Celebrations of Transport; Journeys of Hope; and Perilous Journeys.
In the literature portion of Decathlon, there are several short selections and one long piece of literature. This year, the long work is The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro.
This year's science will be an Introduction to Animal Behavior and Migration.
This year's section of social science will look at An Introduction to Human Geography and Migration: Thinking Geographically; Cultural Patterns and Processes; Population Patterns and Processes; Migration Patterns and Processes; and Migration Case Studies.
Economics will cover fundamentals, microeconomics, macroeconomics and the economics of transportation.
The math for this year will be geometry and an introduction to differential calculus.
