Hi! I am Lauren McCool the founder of Lauren's Letters of Love, LLL. I started LLL in 2023 with the intent of sending letters of hope, gratitude, inspiration, and love. In the early spring of 2023 I spent 2 weeks bed-bound in a Children's Hospital room. Isolated and full of dread, my pre-existing depression was intensified and giving up had never felt so easy. About a week into my stay, I recieved a letter from a school friend and my mood pivoted, Hand written letters are such a lost love language and her letter prompted reflection. There are so many others in a similar situation to me, and some who will spend months upon years locked away in a hospital room. If one letter reminded me someone was thinking of me could make my stay even the slightest bit better, I wanted others to feel the same way. And like that LLL was born! We believe in the pure impact of kindness and creating a world where people aren't accustomed to feeling alone.
