Counselors' Corner

The Laurel Middle School Counseling Department is committed to meeting our student’s needs during extended e-learning. Our goal is to service our students in as similar a manner as we do on a typical school day; we will just need to be adaptive and creative in doing so. Below are examples how we plan to service our students through extended e-learning.

  • Counselors will continue to develop social/emotional learning lessons and other resources to assist with talking with your children about COVID-19 that will be made available via our webpage.

  • Counselors will be available via email message for family or student concerns. Please allow 24 hours to respond to your email.

  • Counselors can assist families in need of basic necessities such as toothpaste, toothbrush, lotion, deodorant, and other hygiene items until items are depleted.

  • If you feel like your child is experiencing behavioral or emotional difficulties and you need resources or advice please contact your student’s counselor (see information below). If you feel your student is in imminent danger please contact the appropriate crisis number.
