October Newsletter
Fall is here and we are in full swing. There are so many exciting new activities taking place.
In ELA we analyzed Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White.
We shared in the adventure of Wilbur and how Charlotte shows what it means to be a great friend.
Next we will discuss The One-eyed Giant by Mary Pope Osborne. We wonder if Odyseuss will find his way back home.
In Math, students have been reviewing place value, rounding and adding multidigit numbers.
What is Geography? In Social Studies, we have looked at maps and reviewed important features like continents, oceans, countries, map scales, and compass rose. The class also made their own globes.
In Science, students have been learning about environments and why organisms live in certain places.
October will be filled with fun activities:
No School on October 2- Yom Kippur
HBC first assembly on October 7th with Dr. Cozine.
No School on October 13th-Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day
Halloween Party on Friday October 31st. Parents are invited.
More information to follow.
Happy Fall
