Winter Newsletter for January and February
Winter is flying by with weekend snowstorms and tons of fun in the classroom.
The spelling bee had the class all a buzz with spelling and learning new words.
Science Fair was a success with our class scientists doing fun and interesting experiments then presenting like pros to our parents/audience.
Now we are heading to our Poetry Tea analyzing plenty of nature poems by Lilian Moore and writing our own original poems to share with you in our individual anthologies. We are working hard to get ready to present our poems and proverbs on February 9th.
In science we are learning about Force and Motion which goes great with our Robotics theme of Crazy Carnival. Our Robotics Fair will be in March. More information to come.
In Social studies we finished our unit on cultures around the world with posters we prepared and presented to the class about.
Next we will have a Presidents Unit in preparation for Presidents’ Day. Then we will start our studies on Economy.
Math is totally measuring up with all the Area and Perimeter being measured and calculated in the classroom and at home.
