Message from Miss White

This term has been busy from beginning to end with trips, swimming, clubs, choir practice and Christmas assemblies.

The children and staff worked really hard on their assemblies. We are thankful to all parents/carers who came to see their child perform and we hope you enjoyed them as much as we did.

We are very proud that Mr Alabi has been promoted to the role of Vice Principal (acting) to provide support at one of our other LAT academies, Horsmonden. He will start this role after the Christmas holidays. We have appointed Mrs Leid, an experienced teacher to take over in January as the teacher of Woodpecker class. She has already been into school to meet the children and the rest of the team at Tree Tops. We wish Mr Alabi well with his new role and thank him for all he has done for Tree Tops.

I would like to wish you and your families a very happy and healthy Christmas and look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 4 January 2022!

Clubs / After School Activities

Monday:- Sewing club KS1 (Term 3)

Tuesday:- Kings Squad

Thursday:- Zumba (Term 3)

Friday:- EMC football club (commences 14th January 2022 - KS2 only)

Lego club will be commencing in the new year. Please keep an eye out for a letter coming home !!

Absences/late arrivals

It is really important that children are in school every day. All absences are being marked as unauthorised and will result in a fine.

With Immediate Effect We Are A Nut Free School

We have a number of children who have a severe, potentially life threatening nut allergies. The school is therefore now with immediate effect a NUT FREE zone. Please ensure that your child does not bring any nuts or food items to school which have nuts as a listed ingredient, thank you.

Early Birds & Night Owls

Before and after school childcare provision.

Early Birds - £2 weekly or 50p per session

Night Owls - time now runs to 5.30pm

If your child attends 3.15pm - 4.30pm - £3 per session

If your child attends 3.15pm - 5.30pm - £7.50 per session (This MUST be booked in advance)

Olive Dining

School dinners cost £2.45 a day (£12.25 a week) and Olive Dining have asked that this is paid on a Monday. Menus can be found on our website. The correct money must be put in an envelope with the child’s name, class and the amount of money in the envelope.

Reminder:

Please only send in healthy lunches. No sweets and chocolate are allowed in school. Water only in bottles
