March/April 2021
We are all very happy to be back in the school routine. I have been so impressed with how well the children have settled back into school life. A huge thank you to you all as parents and carers, for all you have done to support with this. It is a credit to you that the vast majority of children are arriving on time each day, at the correct gate, smart in their school uniforms and ready to have a great day at school. This week Mr Bishop and I have been looking at children's work and have been pleased with how hard everyone is working to do their very best. Hopefully, as the weather continues to improve, the children will be able to enjoy learning outside in one of our new outdoor classrooms. Each year group now has an allocated outdoor area to use. We are so lucky to have the space on our beautiful site.

It has been noticed and reported that many adults are not wearing face coverings when dropping off/picking up children. We have many vulnerable students, staff and carers and the lack of adults choosing not to wear coverings is increasing their anxiety due to their vulnerability. Whilst we appreciate that some adults are exempt, there are many who are choosing not wear face coverings. We are working hard to ensure that Tree Tops Primary Academy remains a safe place for everyone and are striving to do all we can to enable us to remain open and able to deliver education to our students whilst keeping everyone safe. We are therefore reminding you that, unless medically exempt, we require face coverings to be worn at all times when visiting the school. A distance of 2 metres is also a requirement during the pandemic.
Children need to be supervised until the school gate opens. We have had reports of dangerous behaviour from our children who are left to wait by the gate alone.
It is really important that children are in school every day. All absences are being marked as unauthorised and will result in a fine.
Collection and pick up of your child(ren) need to be strictly on the allocated times. It is really important that the times are adhered too. Staff cannot cross bubbles to let children in and out who are late or need to be collected early. Late letters will be sent home and fines issued.
A reminder that no school bags are permitted in school until further notice. Please only bring a coat, water bottle and a lunch box into school. PE kits are to remain in school. These will be sent home for washing as required.
