Welcome to your transition from Year 11 to Year 12 at The Leigh Academy

Despite the way Year 11 ended for you, we hope you are excited about returning to school in September and beginning the next stage of your education with us. We are certainly looking forward to welcoming you into our thriving Post-16.

To help you to get ready for September, we would like to ask you to complete some pre-course learning at home. Each subject we offer has a task or series of tasks for you to complete and bring with you to your first lesson in September. Each subject teacher has also recorded a short video about themself and their subject, so that you can start to get to know your new teachers. Find the subjects you have chosen to study via the menu at the top of the page.

Step 1: Watch the introductory video below, where you will meet Mrs Collins (the Principal) and the members of the Post-16 Team.

Step 2: Find your chosen subjects from the menu and watch the videos, before completing the pre-course tasks.

Before you join us in September, make sure you have taken a look at this guide to Transition to Post-16 at The Leigh Academy.
