PEPA Tots
This week, PEPA Tots have been learning about autumn. We enjoyed a walk around the field and collected a variety of leaves.
We used to leaves to create a hibernation space for hedgehogs. We made our own hedgehogs using dough and matchsticks.
On Friday, we all dressed up for Children in Need. We have enjoyed a really good week.
This week, Ellie Simmonds Class had the wonderful opportunity to visit Siri Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, an experience that was both enriching and inspiring. The students were warmly welcomed before recapping key values of Sikhism, including equality, service, and compassion. They explored the stunning architecture of the Gurdwara, admired the intricate designs, and learned about the significance of its key features, such as the prayer hall and the Langar kitchen.
The highlight of the visit was participating in the Langar, where the children experienced the generosity of the Sikh tradition by sharing a meal prepared and served by the community. The trip provided a meaningful way to deepen their understanding of different faiths and cultures, fostering respect and curiosity that aligns beautifully with our school values.
Remembrance Day 2024
On Monday 11th November, all children and staff came together to celebrate Remembrance Day in a special assembly led by Miss Long. Miss Long taught the children about the significance of Remembrance Day and how we come together each year to remember the men, women and animals who have fought to protect our freedom, including people from Allhallows and Stoke. The previous week, all classes had made a poppy wreath. These were then presented in assembly where we created a school remembrance memorial. Our poppy wreaths were then taken to Allhallows church where you can now see them on display!
On Friday 15th November, PEPA supported Children in Need by holding a non-uniform day to help raise an amazing £176 in cash donations and much more through online donations.
The money raised means that they can continue to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK, so that they can live safe, happy lives and have a chance to reach their potential.
If you would like to find out more about the difference fundraising makes you can read stories and see photos of some of the children the organisation has helped.
