We have been learning about how to stay healthy and what animals, including humans, need to stay alive. The class wrote some amazing instructions about how to care for a dog which also showed their compassion for pets. We learnt how to make mind maps to organise our ideas and help us to recall what animals need to stay healthy. Our class text has been 'The Tunnel' through which we explored relationships between family and friends. Our writing to create a setting description and new ending was imaginative and full of interesting adjectives. Everyone in class was keen to share their ideas and wrote enthusiastically. Well done Steve Backshall class!
It has been great to see all of the classes perform in their Harvest celebrations today. Each class has showcased singing or poems linked to Harvest and have been really confident in performing these to all of our parents. Our Head boys/girls and deputies have also taken a lead role in delivering poems or prayers. We would also like to thank our parents and carers with their support in food/drink/toiletry donations, we have been astounded with how generous the donations have been and we know that the Medway foodbank will be really pleased when they come to collect this.
