I am really impressed that in KS1, Greta Thunberg class has 100% this week, a huge well done to that class! In KS2, JK Rowling are the winning class for attendance, well done! I am hoping to see improving attendance in more of our KS2 classes. Remember that winning classes for each term do get prizes.

Our Wonderful Inquiry Work
The children have all settled really well back into school and we have been particularly impressed with how our new EYFS children have settled straight into school and their learning.
PEPA Tots
This week has been a settling week for our nursery children. They have had a great week exploring the room and having fun singing with musical instruments and dancing.
Beatrix Potter Class
Well done Beatrix Potter Class you have been amazing at settling in this week!
Allan Ahlberg Class
Allan Ahlberg class have been sorting by colour, type and size. We were able to talk about how we had sorted our manipulatives, and could label our table.
Roald Dahl & Greta Thunberg Classes
This week in RE, both Year 2 classes have been looking at kindness. We acted out the story of Jesus healing the sick and discussed ways to be kind.
Marcus Rashford Class
This week, Marcus Rashford class have been inquirers and have explored the Divali celebrations and the importance of these celebrations to Hindu children. We have created fact files about Divali and explored what it means to feel part of a community, we discussed different celebrations and different religions we have in our class. To finish our week we have created our own bright and colourful Rangoli patterns to bring light and positivity into our classroom for the rest of the school year.
J K Rowling Class
Year 4 having researched the life of J K Rowling. The beautiful portraits will be displayed on our Learner Profile display. Did you know that only one of her Harry Potter characters was completely inspired by a real person…I wonder who that was?--
Captain Sir Tom Moore Class
We have been exploring commitment in Sikhism and how people make sacrifices for the sake of their faith. The children have been investigating how each year Sikhs make a pilgrimage to The Golden Temple in India and they have now been using their sketching skills to create an image of The Golden Temple.
Alan Turing Class
This week we have focussed on RE and we have considered how Muslims show commitment to their faith. In the photos, you can see how children have explored their own commitments and some artwork of the Kaaba that sits inside the Grand Mosque in Mecca. For their artwork, we learnt about using 2 point perspective to create accurate sketches.
