Internet Safety Day - Tuesday 7th February 2023
On Monday 6th February, Miss Clark introduced our assembly theme for the week: Making Space for conversations about life online. Pupils shared the positives and challenges of growing up connected to the internet and what we can all do about it to ensure we are leading a healthy life online. We spoke about our digital footprint, and once something is shared online, it can't be undone. Miss Clark shared the below photo online on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to demonstrate how quickly and globally images can travel. Once it's shared, you can lose control of what happens to that image or screenshot.
Pupils in STEM club mapped all the different countries where this image was shared, even though Miss Clark doesn't know poeple living there! This part amazed pupils and highlighted that if the wrong image is shared, you can lose control of where it goes to.
