The sun has been shining all week and what a wonderful way to finish a fabulous term of PE! The children have loved being outside in the fresh air and enjoying the space to continue learning and developing their skills. They have been focussing on their running, jumping and throwing skills which they will be able to demonstrate to you during our sports day on Friday 23rd June. 12 children from Yr 5 and 6 excelled during their Bikeability course and were a credit to our school when working with their instructors. We were very proud of our rounders team who came 3rd in the Kent Teach Maidstone Schools tournament and we are hoping that the new team shirts will continue bringing us good luck in term 6. Yr 4 and 5 finished their term of swimming with some really important life skills learning about water safety and rescue. Robins have been busy practising their biking skills and last week walked up to Mangravet Park and enjoyed an hour of different activities finishing up in the play park trying out the swings, roundabout and balance bars. A group of Yr 6 attended a netball training session run by Mrs Palmer at Langley Park collaborating with Molehill and Langley Park which was extremely successful and they are looking forward to further links with our Maidstone cluster schools in term 6.
Please remember on your child's return in term 6 that the sun will be shining and it is really important that they keep hydrated with plenty of water and come in with sun cream on. Please ensure that that your child is wearing the correct PE kit and standard black PE shorts (not lycra) (please see website if unsure).
