Our Wonderful Inquiry Work
Animal Encounters
On Thursday, Julia Donaldson class had the exciting opportunity to meet a variety of different small animals. They held, stroked and learnt all about guinea pigs, ferrets, bearded dragons, giant millipedes, bunnies and snakes! The children showed great risk taking skills when they met some very interesting creatures and were very sensible around them. They had great fun and were able to apply their knowledge on animals which we have been looking at in science!
Language Club
Language club has been a great success! The children have engaged in a range of activities and have been great in supporting those from different countries. During language club we have learnt some basic phrases from different places as well as children in the club creating their own slides on a conunities so that we can learn all about it. Our biggest highlight this term was learning traditional dances from a range of countries, this brilliant ideas came from Teddy and Phoebe in year 6. All the children were keen to learn the dance and were keen to then show the rest of the group. Language club will continue into the next term and we are all excited to explore and learn about different cultures.
School information
Safeguarding office doors
Can we politely ask that if you are in the academy office, for safeguarding reasons, would you please not press the green button by the door to let other visitors in. The office staff need to check who is entering the building at all times to ensure that we safeguard the building and we know who is entering. We appreciate your support with this.
Parental events this term
We would like to celebrate the parental attendance to all of our events this term as they were all really well attended and it has been great for you to be able to support your child/children in school. We hope that you have enjoyed our shows, workshops and classroom visits and there are plenty more events to come for next term too. Thank you so much for your support, we really appreciate this and know that the children do too.
From the whole PEPA team, we hope that you all have a great half term and look forward to seeing you all when the children return on 6th November.
Halloween Disco
Thank you to our PTA for putting on a wonderful Halloween Disco for the children. They had a fantastic time with lots of dancing and party games. The children enjoyed some delicious treats and looked brilliant in their spooky costumes! Thank to all the parents and carers that supported this event.
