Day 1!

Term 1 2022-2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to welcome you all back to Oaks and hope that you all had a restful summer. It was fantastic to see so many smiling and happy faces today, both returning and new students alike. I will endeavour to make myself known to new parents and speak with you all personally whether it be at the beginning or end of the school day.

It was fantastic to see so many children prompt (if not early) this morning whilst the school gates are open between 8:40-8:50, looking extremely smart in their vibrant uniforms. We are aware that some families have experienced challenges with our uniform provider - Brigade. We are working closely with a number of alternative providers to provide the most affordable and convenient service to you, our families. We will update you with any uniform provider changes in due course.

It was also extremely pleasing to see classes full of correct and suitable school footwear, it makes a huge difference, thank you.

Oaks was alive on the first day back with the buzz of excitement to meet new teachers and the opportunity to learn alongside great friends once again!

On Monday evening (8pm), you will be able to sign up for after school clubs via My Child at School app. Please stay tuned for this news and read through the clubs list below with your child(ren) to gauge their interest. Our clubs are always highly subscribed, so please ensure you pick a club that excites and intrigues your child(ren).

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I look forward to seeing you all next week.

Mr Moore

Principal

First Day back!

Club Information

It is important that your child wants to attend the club that they are signed up to as we always have waiting lists of children who are eager to join.

If your child does not want to attend the club, or does not attend weekly, the club lead or a member of SLT will have a conversation with you about going forward.

Sign-up to clubs will be released on Monday evening, at approximately 8pm. Please ensure you have the My Child At School app to sign up.

If you are unsure of how to do this, please come to the office on Monday morning and speak to a member of the team there who will support you.

Medical Informarion

If your child has asthma, a pump must stay in their classroom. At the start of every academic year, parents fill in an asthma form for their child and must drop off an in-date asthma pump. This is all done via the school office.

If there are any changes to a child's medication during the school year, it is crucial that you come and speak with us so we can be prepared to support your child as best as possible.

If your child has any needs that you feel may impact their learning at school, it is important that you share these with us.
