Our Wonderful Inquiry Work

PEPA Tots

This term our inquiry is about "Signs and Symbols help us organise ourselves ". We have been looking at different signs and symbols around school. The children  were able to find the fire exit, no smoking and disabled signs around the school. They also have been very good at looking for signs in the environment and when they are out and about with their parents at home.

We also had Kent Police and the Response team visit our school. The children were very excited to meet the police to ask all their questions. They talked about the equipment they use and  showed the children. All the children loved exploring the vehicles and some asked questions about the police, how the lights work and how they open the car and how they catch criminals.

Benjamin Zephaniah

Year 6 have been working incredibly hard this week. We had our mock SATS week so the children know what to expect when we do the real thing in May. They have shown such a principled attitude and all feel much better knowing what to expect next term.

I look forward to sharing their scores with them next week so they can see how much progress they have made - I hope they all have a nice, relaxing weekend after their hard work this week!

It was fantastic to see so many children who had celebrated and raised money for charity on Red Nose Day. Our children completed some tasks linked to this throughout their day and you can see Pepa Tots class enjoying their Red Nose cakes in the pictures here.

Parent SEND Library

At the moment I am in the process of collecting books to support parents in understanding different needs, parenting support or even just realising that you are not the only parent going through this!

If you have any books at home that you would like to donate to the library please let me know or if there are particular themes that you are interested in seeing within the library.

My aim is that parents can borrow these books to read and return when finished.

Parent Consultations

I still have a few slots left for SENCO Parents evening on Monday the 20th.  Please call the office if you would like to book on to one of these slots.  If you are unable to make this date but would like to book a meeting with me please let the office know and I will be in contact to arrange a meeting.

Kind Regards,

Mrs Drogomirecki
