Marcus Rashford Class
This week, Marcus Rashford Class have been really busy learning more about deforestation and looking at the threats to the rainforests around the world. We used our research and communication skills to help us with this. We have also been continuing with our sketches based on the work of Gary Hodges. We started learning about multiplication and division this week and used a variety of manipulatives to help us understand multiplication. We were also looking at arrays in Maths as an image to support us with our learning. We are so excited for the rest of the module as we have lots of exciting things planned!
Alan Turing Class
This week, Alan Turing class have been completing practice SATs papers and getting in the festive spirit. We were lucky enough to be able to go and sing Christmas carols at Rochester Cathedral with year 5 on Tuesday. It was incredible to be able to sing with other schools and spend time in the cathedral. We have also made decorations for the school hall, using techniques to create stained glass windows with festive designs.
INFORMATION
THE LION KING
We are so excited for our school trip to see the stunning musical, 'The Lion King', on Wednesday 8th December.
Children will not need to take water bottles, lunchboxes or book bags with them as we don't want anything to get left behind. We will be eating lunch before we go. Children are not able to take chocolate or fizzy drinks as snacks and you may provide your own snacks but the children will be responsible for these during the day. We are also taking plenty of water and snacks with us too.
We anticipate returning around 6.30pm/7pm but please look out on the local village Facebook page and also Google classroom/Tapestry as we will put a message on to say when we are about half an hour away from school. Please look out for your child's class name/number so you know which coach to pick them up from. There will be no minibus at this time in the evening.
