In Reception, we have continued learning about lifecycles and how we can look after the environment. The children have been very excited to see our tadpoles transform in to froglets. Our learning has also included reading the story of Bog Baby - the children have retold the story brilliantly and have written some superb instructions for how to look after a Bog Baby.
This week we have also had the excitement of our first class assembly - Miss Hartung was very proud of all of the class - they were fantastic!
This module, we have also been visited by a Paralympian who really inspired our children. They busily created their own Olympic and Paralympic activities outside.

In Year 4, we have been starting to look at our new central idea as well as our new lines of inquiry. This module, we are looking at how creativity may be found in a variety of places. We have started to look into The Tudors, who they were as well as their significance. As part of our VIPERS, we are reading 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' and we have written a setting description based off of this.
As part of our Spanish, we are learning about food and drink and how to say different items. We have learnt how to say 'Please can I have....' if we are going to a restaurant.
In maths, we have been learning about time on a 24-hour clock as well as how many days are in each month. In PE, we are preparing for sports day by completing some running races and relays.
SEND
Please complete the linked form if you like to attend a meeting with Mrs Drogomirecki (SENCO). Your child does not need to be on the SEND register for you to attend.
At this time of year we are always looking to see what has gone well for SEND at PEPA and what we can improve next year. Please could you complete this feedback form to share your views on the support that you child has available at PEPA - your child does not need to be on the SEND register for you to complete. I look forward to sharing the information we collect at the end of the year.
Make sure you check out KM newspaper in the following weeks as our younger children have sent off drawings and messages for their dads for Father's Day.
Reverend Gwilt's Retirement
As some of you may be aware, Reverend Gwilt has been working with us from Allhallows Parish church now for many years. He has supported in weekly assemblies and in annual celebrations e.g. Harvest Festivals and Christmas. Both the staff and children would like to thank him for all of his support and to wish him a very happy retirement! We have sent him well wishes in a card from the children as well as sending him a short clip of the children singing their favourite song that he has taught them and some lovely words from our Head boys and girls. We do not yet know who his replacement will be but we will be sure to welcome them when they arrive. All the best to Reverend Gwilt.
It has been a busy time for some of our year groups! Year 4 had their multiplication check, year 2 have had some maths and reading tasks to complete and year 1 and some year 2s have sat their phonics screening tests these past few weeks. Well done to all as they have worked very hard. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of these with parents and carers in the end of year reports.
