Oliver Jeffers class have been exploring the natural world and lifecycles as part of their inquiry this term. They have been fascinated by the tadpoles we have in our class and have enjoyed observing them with magnifying glasses. We are waiting for them to grow their back legs! We have also been learning about the lifecycle of plants and have grown bean plants linked to our text Jack and the Beanstalk.

Year 4 have been enjoying their work about British Sign Language and sound. During our science inquiry, we have carried out different investigations about the way in which sound travels and how to change pitch. Whilst making string telephones, we proved sound travels through solids. As well as this the children had fun making musical instruments using elastic bands to create different pitches.

The children helped Mrs Drogomirecki and Miss Brading put together ideas for an assembly to share with the rest of the school. Over the rest of this module we will be thinking of more ways that we can promote healthy eating.
Health ambassador training for Year 4
We have been very fortunate for 12 children from Year 4 who have been training for the Howard School Partnership in regards to becoming healthy ambassadors. The children have been trained in regards to how we can become a healthier school and how we can make better choices. The children will be presenting an assembly in Module 6 about the changes that we can make as a school.
