Vivian has been a super inquirer this week. She has enjoyed exploring all about birds. She created her own bird feeder, binoculars and bird using the recycled materials that we have in nursery. Super learning Vivian!

Lexi-Lou has been developing her phonics skills this week and has been very reflective when thinking about her emotions! She imagined what she would feel like in different situations as the Colour Monster! This is fabulous Lexi-Lou!

Kya has been an incredible inquirer, we were really impressed to see that she had taken her learning even further and explored the Chinese New Year. She cooked some Chinese food and lit Chinese lanterns. She has fully immersed herself in the traditions we have been exploring and it has been lovely to see.

Antonia

Antonia has worked very hard this week; her cursive handwriting is becoming very neat. We have also noticed that she has been practising her reading and is becoming a much more confident communicator.

Brianna has made super progress in her letter formation. She has been open-minded, listened to feedback and then practiced her letters. Brianna shows a principled approach to her home learning and always tries to achieve her best. Well done Brianna!

Adam

Adam has become a balanced learner. He has grown in confidence within the class pod and has participated in the lessons with enthusiasm. He has shown to be a communicator with the creative ideas that he has with our inquiry into festivals and traditions. Super creativity Adam!

Lea has been a great communicator this week. She has been able to share her thoughts, feelings and opinions about the environment and deforestation giving some good reasons why rainforests are needed. She has been a risk taker, willing to answer questions and eager to learn more. Well done!

Ellie

Ellie has been a great thinker, risk-taker and communicator when she shared videos of herself presenting her answers to questions as she was interviewed by her grown up. Ellie has shown so much maturity towards her work this week and her comments and opinions about deforestation has shown she is caring and open-minded too when listening and responding to the views of others.

Pearl has been a great risk taker this week with her learning especially in maths working in an investigative way and answering questions. She has also been a great communicator this week sharing her thoughts and ideas about our impact on the environment and deforestation. Well done!

Jaeden

Jaeden has shown he is a good communicator when he has participated in our online discussions about deforestation. He has been open minded as he considers the views of others in his responses and he has been caring when he talks about his concern about the endangered animals who are living in rainforests.

Niya

Niya has been a great communicator this week. She has been able to share her ideas and opinions about different stereotypes. She has been in the class pod and always tries to achieve her best. Niya has been able to reflect on what she has learnt so far this week.

Harvey

Harvey has always been a very active part of the Google Classroom. His work always shows what a great inquirer he is. He has shown great reflection this week by thinking of others actions and has developed his knowledge of stereotyping and has written some fantastic poems.

Since starting home learning on the Google Classroom, Tomi has been a fantastic risk taker and communicator with every piece of work. She will always respond to comments and reupload improved work and has consistently participated in the live lessons that take place. She is also not afraid to try and complete her work in new and exciting ways. Great work Tomi!

David

This week, David has been open-minded when exploring poetry for the first time and learning about the different types of poetry. He is starting to apply poetry features, such as rhyming, and has even tried writing a limerick! He is focused and invested in the conversations that happen in every live lesson and is confident in sharing his thoughts and opinion.

Robert has been using all the learner profiles this week. He has been an excellent thinker and inquirer during our work into how we know about the Battle of Hastings. He demonstrated he was knowledgeable when answering the questions of others and was a great communicator when creating his own frieze of the battle. His effort in maths has also been excellent. Victoria has taken part in many great discussions and live lessons this week, looking at the change and development of women’s rights throughout the ages. She has been a excellent communicator and a creative thinker, putting herself in the shoes of an 19th century man and woman and thinking how their rights were different.

Jacob this week has hit the ground running and worked very well in class. He has persevered with maths and enjoyed the work he has produced.

Pip & Bramley (SRP)

Luke

Luke has really impressed us with his Maths work this week. Not only has he shown us his knowledge of counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s, but he has explained what he knows to others in the group. Luke didn’t think he could count in steps beyond 100, but he took the risk and counted in 10s to 200 and 5s to 130! Luke has also applied what he knows about odd and even numbers and the 2 times table to solve problems. Keep up the good work, Luke!

Enoch

Enoch has joined in with lots of small group activities this week. He has taken part in phonics, reading and practical activities with the other children, and has been using his words to clearly express his feelings and thoughts. Enoch has shown us he knows his sounds, lots of tricky words, and how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. He has also shown us he can read most of the symbols in his communication book. Great job, Enoch!
