Searching the web provides access to almost anything you want, but sometimes things you don't want. There are some steps you can take to limit risk and improve your internet experience.

Google SafeSearch

Google SafeSearch helps you filter explicit search results on Google, like pornography. SafeSearch isn’t 100% accurate, but it helps you avoid explicit content.

You can use SafeSearch as a parental control to help protect children from inappropriate search results on your phone, tablet, or computer.

When SafeSearch is on, it helps block explicit images, videos, and websites from Google Search results.

YouTube Restricted Mode

Restricted Mode is an optional setting that you can use to help screen out potentially mature content that you may prefer not to see or don’t want others in your family to see.

When restricted mode is enabled, you will not be able to see comments on the videos you watch.

An alternative option for younger users would be to use YouTube Kids. It provides a safer version of YouTube, including both popular children’s videos and diverse new content. YouTube Kids is currently only available on iOS and Android devices.
