November 2021 - Autumn 2
We would like to thank all parents and families for their continued support throughout this term. It was great to be able to meet virtually with parents and chat about how the children have been getting on. We are looking forward to exploring the seasonal changes this term will bring, as well as lots of festive play and celebrations!

Phonological Awareness
In our Key Groups the children have been enjoying our phonological awareness sessions this covers six aspects:
Environmental sounds
Instrumental sounds
Body Sounds
Rhythm and rhyme
Alliteration
Voice sounds
In January we will be following the Read Write Inc programme learning one sound per week.
Book of the Week
This term we will be focusing on traditional tales.
Winter Uniform
As the weather begins to get colder, please ensure that your child has a warm, waterproof coat in school every day. We also recommend bringing gloves, scarf and hat as the children will still spend lots of time outside.
We ask that you ensure that every item is clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Christmas
Plans are now underway for our EYFS Christmas Production ‘A Wriggly Nativity’. Children can choose if they would like to be a star or an angel - more details will be shared on Tapestry.

End of Term
Just a reminder that on the last day of this term (Friday 17th December), Nursery will close at 12:00pm. Afternoon children are welcome to attend 9:00am-12:00pm on this day.
