As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our machinery and mechanical equipment's smooth operation. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

The following key accountabilities ensure the critical success of this position:

  1. Servicing and maintaining mechanical/electrical/plumbing equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.

  2. Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.

  3. Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.

  4. Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.

  5. Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.

  6. Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.

  7. Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.

  8. Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

  9. Carefully read manuals of equipment and interpret them to understand how to operate and maintain them properly

  10. Inspect newly acquired equipment upon arrival, checking every part to be sure that they are working and meet up with industry standards before they are put to use in the factory

  11. Strictly abide by safety regulations during manufacturing activities, keeping equipment in check to avoid mechanical hazards that could cause harm to operators and workers

  12. Conduct regular knowledge-sharing toolbox meetings with the team.

  13. Enroll in continuous training and education on technical maintenance practices to be updated with the latest maintenance techniques and be able to keep equipment in the best possible conditions

  14. Supervise the purchase of new equipment, utilizing machine operation knowledge in choosing good quality machines for purchase; test machines to determine their durability; return inadequate quality equipment.

  15. Maintain asset management records, analyze trends and proactively advise management.

Overview:

Under general supervision, responsible for performing accurate formulation and analytical tests in accordance with established company, ANSI, and ASTM procedures and/or other accepted methods, conducting moderately complex chemical studies, experiments on organic and/or inorganic compounds and materials, analyses, and tests which require technical knowledge and techniques in projects regarding organization research, production or operation.
