Email your teacher and one of the 4th grade teachers will respond to your question, or set up a time to Zoom with you after school hours.
Fourth Grade Launch Page (this website) - This is where your child's school work will be posted. There are videos, lessons, and assignments. There are also how-to videos if you get confused on how to use a website or how to turn in an assignment. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer but can be accessed on a mobile device.
SeeSaw - used for a communication tool with your child's teacher. Pictures and newsletters may be shared. Sometimes, students will complete an activity on here. You can download a parent app.
Google Classroom - this is where the majority of your child's reading and language homework with be done. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer but can be accessed on a mobile device.
ThinkCentral - this is where the majority of your child's math homework will be done. This website goes alone with our textbook. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer.
IXL - this is a practice website that will sometimes be used in math, reading, and language. Students are given questions and they need to answer them correctly. They usually have a certain percentage they must complete in order for it to be considered mastered. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer.
Xtramath - this is a website for students to practice their math facts. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer but can be accessed on a mobile device.
Lexia - this is a reading practice program. Students are tested and placed at different levels. This program does an amazing job of targeting reading skills students may be lacking. Students will have a weekly "unit" goal to complete. Students earn a unit when they pass part of a reading skill. Most students will have between 4-16 units to get per week. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer but can be accessed on a mobile device.
HMH - Reading and Science Book - this website houses both the reading textbook and the science textbook. This website will be used for many reading and science lessons. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer.
SpellingCity - this website will be used for students to practice spelling words and to take their weekly test. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer. There is an app for this but sometimes it is glitchy.
BrainPop - this website has informative videos. It is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer but can be accessed on a mobile device.
Mystery Science and Generation Genius - these are science websites with a video lessons and sometimes they include an activity. These will be used often in science. They are best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer.
