Rolande S. Sumner is a retired US Army veteran and the CEO & Founder of Life After Service Transitional Coaching LLC®. Rolande served her country in the United States Army National Guard from 1995 to 2015. During her career, she was an Administrative Clerk, Heavy Vehicle Operator, and Human Resources Manager. She served as both a traditional National Guard Soldier and as an Active Guard Reserve Soldier. During her military tenure, Rolande received multiple honors: Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge, and the Army Accommodation Medal.

Since retirement from the military, Rolande has gained several coaching certifications and credentials, including Associate Certified Coach (ACC) via the International Coaching Federation, Certified Professional Coach (CPC), and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP). In addition to her professional coaching certifications, Rolande is also the owner of two businesses. Life After Service Transitional Coaching (LASTCo) and its subsidiary Business Launch Prep School (BLPS), a 3-Month startup program that builds a solid foundation for new business owners and those looking to relaunch. Her goal is to co-create a firm foundation, with BLPS' 4 Foundational Pillars, to guide students towards time and money freedom and begin building a generational legacy.

Rolande is an award-winning co-author of the “Behind the Ranks Vol. III” LASTCo, received the Alignable Local Business of Year award for two consecutive years, as well as being South Carolina Women-Owned Business Certified, and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business verified.

Through LASTCo, Rolande assists organizations as they learn and implement new strategies to retain their veteran talent. Her objective is to enhance organizational readiness and retention by quickly and efficiently integrating veteran new hires into the workplace.

In 2019, the corporate division of LASTCo was developed to serve the veteran-friendly organization in retaining their great veteran talent. The Triple-A Approach, three primary programs, were created to acclimate, advance, and align veterans to the employers for which they work.

In 2020, LASTCo entered government contracting on the local, state, and federal levels, providing training, speaking, coaching, and mentorship services to various sized organizations, with a specific emphasis on professional development, leadership development, and HR consulting.
