Trimester 3, Issue #1
March 26, 2026
Hiller Aviation Museum
Olivia D.
Last week on Wednesday, 6th grade went to the Hiller Aviation Museum. We split up into two groups. Room 24 learned about what makes planes go up, down, forward, and backwards with flying foam-like gliders, while Room 23 walked around the model area, learning about historical planes. After a snack, we switched it up and Room 24 went to the flight simulator while Room 23 learned about how gliders move. Then, we rotated one more time. Afterwards, we had a little competition. Each classroom went to their own room, and tried to build their own glider using cardstock, a part of a pool noodle, and some tape. After that, one person from each team (a team was 3-4 people) went to launch their glider. It was so fun! Then we had lunch, and explored a little. Then, it was time to go home. We all had a great time there and wished we could go back.

Science Infographics
Evie F.
Last week in science we started our infographics. An infographic is a visual image used to represent data. We were all assigned a group (3 or 4 people) and a topic about weather for our infographics. The topics were atmosphere, water in the atmosphere, air masses, and predicting weather changes. Both classes worked hard to finish them. Ms Herrick will print them out and they will be displayed for an open house for the parents and families to see. We will show off our hard work and great effort to everyone.
