Our four most recent Gallery of Excellence plaques, awarded to Walsworth's best of the best: 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024. Let's earn another plaque this year!
We Did It Again! Once again, The Eyas was featured in volume 8 of Walsworth's inspiration book Possibilities, featuring the work of staff members who created 2018's Gotta Hand it to You. One of our Fun Friday photos was recognized as exemplary photography, and the Beyond Blach, highlighting students' extracurricular activities, was featured as an exemplary spread. Congratulations!
The cover is always what the yearbook reader sees first, and the cover of You Could Miss It was so eye-catching, that it was featured on Walsworth's online Cover Gallery to serve as inspiration to other schools and yearbook staffs. Congratulations!
For the second year in a row, our yearbook was inducted into the Walsworth Gallery of Excellence. Congratulations to The Eyas, Volume 1 yearbook staff for creating an outstanding and impressive yearbook.
Bomi's photo was published in Volume 7 of Possibilities, Walsworth's premiere idea book. Yearbooks begin with a spark of imagination and Possibilities showcases yearbooks staffs that were able to turn their ideas into art on the page.
Whipped in the Face! 7th grader Natalie Shok wipes whipped cream off her face during the 'Guess That Tune' event on 90's day. "I felt great!" Natalie remarks. "It was fun even though I didn't get the answer right."
Our 2015 book "Soar" was inducted in Walsworth's Gallery of Excellence! This distinction is awarded to yearbooks that consistently demonstrate superior quality. This means that our yearbook will be available for other schools to use as inspiration.
The Idea File is a yearbook resource magazine published twice a year and distributed to Walsworth yearbook advisors across the country. In the fall of 2014, Mrs. Hickman and our yearbook staff were featured in an article titled "Back in the hands of a student staff." This feature article highlighted our transition from a parent-created to a student-created yearbook, and describes how we "went from zero to 60 in their first year."
Our 2014 "Frame by Frame" was showcased in Possibilities, Walsworth's premier idea book that contains examples from the best middle school, high school, and university yearbooks across the country. Advisor Mrs. Hickman and the 2014 staff were glowing with pride to think that our yearbook is being used as a model to inspire others, and it all happened in our first year producing a student-created yearbook!
