Students interested in participating in athletics at the middle school or high school level should complete the school registration process before completing the athletic registration. Students must have a physical and have the physical form completed by a physician.
As in year’s past, in order to participate in any sport at Los Alamos Public Schools, all athletes must complete the following items prior to participation in practices and competitions. This year, however, we have one significant change: ALL paperwork will be submitted electronically via RankOne Sport (more information below). The Athletics registration is separate from the SchoolMint registration.
1. Athletics Registration
a. Go to : https://www.rankonesport.com/content/
i. Click on red “Parents Click Here” button at top of the page
ii. Click on “Online Forms” (top left box)
iii. Click on “New Mexico”
iv. Click on “Los Alamos Public Schools”
v. Review instructions and then click on the “Proceed to Online Forms” button
vi. Click on the “New to RankOne? Create New Account” button and follow the prompts*
vii. Once you have created your account, you will need your athlete’s last name and LAPS Student ID# to complete the Registration process. (A tutorial has been attached to this email with further instructions).
b. Athletics office will be able to see when your athlete’s registration has been submitted. Nothing needs to be printed or sent in by you when you complete this step/process.
2. Medical Examination (completed on or after April 1st, 2021); Forms are available on RankOne Sport
a. Pages 1-3 are completed by parent/guardian & athlete
b. Page 4 is completed by health care professional
c. Once completed, upload to the athlete's RankOne Sport profile.
3. Consent to Treat Form; Form is completed electronically via RankOne Sport

5. Registration complete- Once you have completed all items, please allow up to 3 business days for your forms to be reviewed and accepted. If a form is not accepted, you will be notified via email. Once all forms have been accepted, you will see that you are now marked "green" or eligible. Please note that academic eligibility is separate from RankOne Sports - even if you are "eligible" in RankOne Sports, you may not be academically eligible to compete.
