Q: So.... what is a CTF?
A: WTF is CTF
Q: So.... where do you meet?
A: We meet every Thursday in C-106 from 3:30-4:00pm, and every Tuesday at lunch in C-106. If you are on the mailing list we will keep you in the loop.
Q: Why should I join?
A: Fun, Friends, Money*, Ambiguous Morals and Dangerous Knowledge... what else could you ask for? Seriously Though, take a look at Why we do it.
Q: What Exactly are you about?
A: We are a school approved club that teaches about cyber security.
Q: What do I need to bring to club?
A: A chrome book and USB drive is appreciated but not mandatory. If you have a personal computer and feel comfortable bringing it that would be great. Any cool bit of tech you want to share is also appreciated.
Q: Whats an OS? I don't really know anything about a computer.
A: That's OK. No prior skill is required. We will get you up to speed in no time. Coding is also not mandatory.
Q: How do I join the news letter / mail list?
A: Send an email to carter.noeninckx@studentlaschools.net
and ask to be added, or click here.
Q: I'm interested / have questions, who can I talk to?
A: Take a look at our Contact page. Also, feel free to stop any of us in the hall if you see us.
Q: How do competitions work?
A: We will give you plenty of heads up about when competitions will take place if you are on the news letter. Another good place to check is the Home Page or the Calendar. If you want to see all the competitions (even the ones we aren't currently participating in) check out CTF-TIME. Keep in mind that times are listed in Zulu time and you will need to convert. Most events are 48 hours long. PLEASE TELL US IF YOU CAN ATTEND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We need 70% of the club to be available to officially compete. Feel free to suggest future competitions.
Q: Is this a school approved club? you guys seem... shady...
A: Yes we are a school approved club. We have an official sponsor & approved constitution. We also have absolutely no clue what you mean by "shady". In no way do we officially condone or engage in malicious activity. This is a purely educational club, and can take no responsibility for any improper personal conduct. Furthermore we have a zero tolerance plan approved in order to prevent any potential indecent during club.
