Who are the Los Alamos Band Boosters?

We are a non-profit organization of parents and guardians who are passionate about music and our children. Our purpose is to supplement and support the Los Alamos Public Schools Band program and give our children the best band experiences by:

• Assisting the Band directors in promoting and providing logistical support for all Los Alamos Middle School and Los Alamos High School Band activities

• Fostering and encouraging a high degree of enthusiasm and group spirit

• Providing financial assistance through fundraising

When I pay my Fair Share Fees, where do they go?

All LABB Fair Share Fees directly benefit our children in many ways that supplement the LAPS band program. Dues pay for:

• Instructors to come into the classroom to work hands-on with our children, which in turn makes everyone in the ensemble better young musicians

• Equipment that helps to enhance the overall experience of all of our students

• Contest entry fees

• Transportation to and from band events

• Food for competitions

• Professional development for our amazing directors to bring new and creative ideas back to our children

• Through the addition of fundraising, help to offset the costs associated with a larger trip for students 

• For the Color Guard, these also pay for costumes, flags, poles, and other accessories

Are my Fair Share Fees Refundable?

• Sorry, your Fair Share Fees are not refundable, even if your student stops taking band class, or if you move.

How much are my Fair Share Fees?

Fees can be paid either as an entire payment or half per semester.  For FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE please fill out this form. If you pay by PayPal you need to pay a little more to cover PayPal's fees.

How do I pay my child’s Fair Share Fees?

You can pay in various ways:

• PayPal (www.paypal.me/labandboosters) Please use the send function on landing page

• You can write a check/money order payable to Los Alamos Band Boosters and have your child drop it in the LABB dropbox outside of the band room (please don't have them hand it to the Band Directors, just put it in the dropbox).

• Write a check/money order payable to Los Alamos Band Boosters and send it to Los Alamos Band Boosters PO BOX 448, Los Alamos NM, 87544

• Use your bank account's bill pay tool, and tell it to mail payment to the address above (we haven't tried this, but it should work, it's how several of us pay our county utility bills).

How can I get involved in Los Alamos Band Boosters?

We need lots of volunteers - see: Description of the Ways You Can Help!  In fact we have so many different ways for you to get involved that we've created a Volunteer Signup Page to list them all!  Our most urgent needs, as of August 2025, are for volunteers for the Prop Committee, the Pit Crew and Pit Crew Drivers.
