The Center for Experiential Learning
at La Salle Academy

Where Talent is Delevoped

The Center for Experiential Learning is designed for intellectual, creative, and motivated students at La Salle Academy. With a foundation rooted in the “Schoolwide Enrichment Model” developed at the University of Connecticut by internationally distinguished gifted educators Dr. Joseph S. Renzulli and Dr. Sally M. Reis, the Center’s design seeks to encourage, refine, and develop the skills related to experiential learning, entrepreneurship, creative productivity, and rigorous curriculum in students by connecting individual interest to the presentation of various subjects, themes, and fields of study. Further work involves student directed research into advanced content and includes methodological and process skill training from a variety of perspectives.

The Center revolves around four major core areas, Advanced Learning Opportunities, which consist of targeted class selections and extracurricular offerings, Skills and Development Training, which are presented as short mini-course modules focused on a variety of lifelong skill preparation, Experiential Learning Opportunities, such as lectures, mentorships, internships, and summer programs, and the Final Project, a culminating concluding body of work intended to present a demonstration of both dedication and expertise.

Many Materials and Resources on this Site are for all La Salle Academy Students
