The Larriette Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 2022 to celebrate 50 years of Larriette history while supporting the next generation of talented young women.
The Larriette story began in 1971–1972 with a small dance team at United High School in Laredo, Texas. Over the years, that humble beginning has evolved into a nationally award-winning dance program.
The Association's mission is simple: honor the legacy of this remarkable team while empowering current Larriettes through scholarships, mentorship, and community support. The Larriette Legacies— the dedicated network of alumni— come together to fundraise, donate and provide financial assistance to graduating seniors via scholarships, helping to further their education and pursue their dreams.
Your support makes a difference and every donation helps. Whether you’re a friend, family member, community supporter, Laredo leader, former Longhorn, or someone inspired by the values the Larriettes uphold, you can play a part in helping the Association give back.
Join the Larriette Legacies in celebrating the past, supporting the present, and empowering the future through the Larriette Alumni Association scholarship fund.
The Larriette Alumni Association has accomplished so many goals in such a short time since the establishment of the nonprofit in 2002. Larriette Legacies have reconnected through a variety of social and charity events as well as supporting graduating Larriettes by awarding 14 scholarships in the last 2 years.
Eight graduating Larriettes received scholarships from the LAA on June 29, 2024. Approximately $4,500 in scholarships were awarded to the following: Allyson Botello, Cadence Cuellar, Elina Garza, Maryana Garza, Hailey Ann Quiroz, Jasmine Valdez (not in photo), and Elyssa Elaine Veliz.
