Hello everyone! I’m Ms. Arellano, and I will be the school counselor at J.A. Kawas Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year! 

Just a little bit about myself: I’ve been working in education for seven years.I love movies, rock music, reading books, food, board games, spending time with my family and two cats. I also love the beach, and I love to write. 

I’ve wanted to be a school counselor since I was fifteen years old. I even wrote a book about my journey to becoming a school counselor. I’ve always wanted to be a counselor because I love helping others, and I believe that a great support system can always make a big difference. 

I’m here to help all students whether it may be about grades, attendance, or any other problem that they would want to share with me. I’m really looking forward to learning a lot more this school year, so that I can continue to grow as a school counselor. 

I am excited and looking forward to another school year here at Kawas Elementary!
