At Kawas Elementary we believe it is essential to help build those necessary social and emotional skills. As educators, we work hand-in-hand to ensure we dedicate time to dive into each of the five Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies. Our district has provided the best curriculum to supply our teachers with amazing tools in order to develop the social and emotional skills of each of our students. We use Character Strong to teach an important trait each month in a fun and engaging way. Talk to your child's teacher or counselor if you would like to know more about our SEL curriculum.

Each month contains "PurposeFull Pursuits to provide fun challenges you can pursue together [with your family]! These are simple ways to intentionally reinforce the skills we are working on at school, while providing fun strategies to grow together as a family.
