Dear Liger Families and Students,
Welcome to the new school year at Don Jose Gallego Elementary! I hope your summer was full of fun, rest, and happy memories.
As your school counselor, my job is to help every student feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. I am here to help students learn how to manage big feelings, make friends, solve problems, and do their best in the classroom.
How I Help Our Students:
Guidance Lessons: Teaching skills like kindness, empathy, and listening.
Individual & Small Groups: Helping kids talk through feelings, friendship changes, or school worries.
Family Support: Partnering with parents to make sure every child has what they need to succeed.
The start of school can bring lots of excitement and a few butterflies—and that is completely normal! If you ever need extra support, please don't hesitate to reach out.
I can’t wait to see all of your bright faces around school!
Sincerely,
Adriana Luna
